If you are like many poker players and wonder when you should progress to the next level of play, there are a few factors you should consider that may make a difference in how much money you win or lose. Obviously there’s no specific answer to this question because everybody is different, but there are few general ways that you can gauge how your play is progressing, and that should give you some indicators as to when it would be profitable for you to step up to the next level in the exciting game of online casino poker.

Texas Hold em by far is one of the most popular poker games and what you should consider first is how many times do you play every day, for how many hours and how many number of tables can you play at one time comfortably. Once you have this figure calculated you then want to compare how many times you’ve won (called the winrate), how many times you’ve lost, and how many times you’ve made it to the final table. All these factors can have an impact on when you should move on.

Obviously the player that plays more often is going to be increasing their skill level faster than a player that only plays only once in a while. Although everybody is different, you can basically break down how good a player may become based on how often they play. For example, somebody that is a hardcore poker player that plays 4 hours a day and is able to play six tables at a time can sometimes move up to the next level as quickly as 2 to 3 weeks, provided they assimilate all the information that is out there in regards to the various strategies. A regular player that plays roughly 2 hours a day at four tables at a time theoretically can move up to the next level in the 1 to 2 month range Finally, the casual player that only plays once in a while can take as long as one year before it is advisable to move onto the next level.

As stated everybody’s is different and this is just the basic guideline to help you when you’re considering moving to a different level in online casino Texas Hold em. You yourself are going be the final judges as to whether you can take on the challenge at a higher level, but be prepared to make sure that you have a good bankroll management program in place, and if you find that you’re losing more than winning there’s no shame in moving back to your previous level to gain some more practice and skill.
